This Adventure with beautiful scenery begins when you are picked up directly from your cruise ship pier or Hotel in Ocho Rios by one of our friendly driver/guides. He will then take you on a journey along the north coast of Ocho Rios to the world famous Dunn's River Falls. You may have heard about this truly popular and incredible 600 feet water falls that has challenged and fascinated families for generations. The falls is perfect for families and a "must do" activity when visiting Ocho Rios.

Your tour includes admission to the falls and transportation to and from your cruise ship port. We generally take visitors to the falls first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds, this way you will get to enjoy your visit of the falls more.

When you arrive at the falls you will be oriented by our guides briefly before making the climb. There is a stairway adjacent to the fall that goes all the way down to the beach. At the base of the Falls on the beach is where you will start your climb of this 600 feet natural wonder, for all those of you who are adventurous. The climb is not hard, but an easily navigable fun experience.

For those who do not want to climb, but prefer a less adventurous experience, the beautiful impressive sights of the falls alone are worth it. These visitors may view the action from the adjacent stairways and the beautiful surroundings all to the sounds of gushing water on the falls. Dunn's River Falls and park consist of a beach with water sports activities, a Craft Market, picnic areas and Food Court, but the main activity is climbing the Falls - which is a fun group activity!

The Park requires that you wear (Aquamarine) water shoes to make this wet but easily navigable climb. If you don’t bring your own they can be rented or purchased on property.

The park also provides guides to assist you with your climb. there is no charge for these guides but it's customary to tip them. They take groups of fifteen or more persons on the climb up the Falls. They are really helpful during your climb and will help you to enjoy the experience more. However, using a falls guide is not mandatory and left up to your comfort level and confidence in making this journey. The climb to the top of the falls takes (approximately 45minutes) from the base on the beach.

If you do not want to continue your climb at some point during the journey or would like to start at a particular point on the falls, there are several points along the way of the adjoining path that you can easily access the River.

Over decades Dunn's River Falls has offered millions of explorers an instant connection to nature but also has concessions such as Blue Mountain Coffee, hair braiding and Baskin & Robins.

At the end of your climb, you will exit through the Craft Market where local vendors will help you to find that special souvenir. Maybe you would like to have your hair braided...hair braiding shacks are located in the park. Hungry? have a taste of some spicy Jamaican jerked chicken our pork from the restaurants or some Baskin and Robins ice cream.

Next we will take you up through the scenic Fern Gully where you can view over 500 varieties of ferns. We will head away from all the busy tourist areas to the small town of Claremont, on this trip you will see the real Jamaica and get to see and interact with locals as they go about their day to day activities. We will then head onto another small rural town - Higgins town, which is up in the hills and offers some spectacular views o Jamaica's northern coastline. We will then head to St Ann's Bay for a little bit of History lesson and viewing of Christopher Columbus Statue. At St Ann's Bay you will also be able to stop at the local famers market (optional), and interact with the vendors and sample some of our wonderful local fruits. Finally we head to Ocho Rios for some duty free shopping (optional) before you return to your cruise ship or Hotel.

You may even wish to end your tour at the Island Village Shopping centre where you may visit Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville sports bar and grill which is a favorite and walking distance from your cruise ship pier.

Remember to bring your water proof camera as there will be many opportunities to take pictures of this unforgettable experience and beautiful scenery.
